Our goal here at Adaptive Performance is to provide every athlete with a skillset and tools to become LIMITLESS through Fitness Training, Mental Performance, and Recovery Strategies. We want our athletes to be strong, durable, injury free, and prepared for anything all while aging gracefully and looking amazing (sexy) while doing it.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

We know that a lot of our athletes train in their garage, while others train at larger facilities with more equipment options. Because of this, we program to the lowest common denominator by requiring as minimal equipment as possible but providing options in variation for those who like to switch things up. A pull up bar, dumbbells and/or kettlebells, and a good barbell is more than enough to get you going and for you to crush your goals.

HOW DOES YOUR PROGRAMMING DIFFER FROM OTHER TRAINING PLANS?

Most other programs don’t account for the total athlete. Most programs are put together based solely on the goal of beating the athlete down so that they feel “worked” but those programs lack any objective goal outside of that. Not for lack of good intention but that only goes so far. Our programs are objective. They have a start and end point but they also transition following cycles of highs and lows for optimal progress.

WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WORKOUT?

Workouts are written as detailed as possible so that all questions will be answered ahead of time, however, should you need more help with understanding the workouts you will have full access to your coach through the app in which your training session is delivered. You’ll also have access to our community where our other athletes also hang out and can help as well.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WEIGHTS TO USE?

All exercises and workout programs will come with specific details of how many reps and sets and how much weight to use. Our training app will provide all details for you so that there is no confusion and it will even log your workout results, so there’s no pen and paper needed either.

PROGRAMMING PHILOSOPHY

Programming:

Just like Kenny Powers’ philosophy, we’re not trying to make you the best at exercising. Our programming takes our principled approach to giving you long term success. Our training sessions are no longer than 60 minutes and range from 3 days to 7 days a week depending on what path you follow. We blend your fitness training with recovery. We do not do “random workouts” or “no pain, no gain” here. Nor do we do “muscle confusion” our training and results are very intentional. This isn’t a “by any means necessary” system that’s just aimed at making you sweat and feel tired and sore, our entire focus is to train people to become LIMITLESS and capable athletes who are prepared to handle anything. We understand that people are busy these days and have other obligations besides spending hours in the gym. Tactical athletes and sport athletes need strength and conditioning to be physically ready for the challenges they will face but they also need time to work on their individual skill set. Others just need time to be parents or hold down a full time job. We’re here to make life easier and complement your lifestyle, not compete with it. We want our athletes to be strong, durable, injury free, and prepared for anything all while aging gracefully and looking amazing (sexy) while doing it.
